Writing articles is considered one of the easiest ways of promoting your website to generate traffic. It is called article marketing. If you are selling products or services on your website, be it your own products/services or others' as an affiliate, the generated traffic will potentially increase your earning. If you are monetizing your website using Adsense programs for instance, the nice traffic generated combined to the optimized setting of the ads will earn you nice income as well.
